Guest Testimonials

When each of our guests return home, they receive a link to an online comment review asking them (anonymously, if they wish) how they enjoyed their vacation with us. There is no pressure to write a glowing review, as can happen with the "guest books" filled out on board the vessel at the end of the trip.

Here's what our guests have been saying!
"... my dad and I took a liveaboard in Palau for 10 days ... but Caribbean Explorer II was by far the better ... the crew were more friendly and helpful ... also the food was WAY better ... hats off to you guys. The crew were fantastic!  They made the trip even better.  A++ to(the chef) for the cooking :).. " - Dustin, March 2008

"... The crew were all fabulous.  Professional, efficient, pleasant, and accommodating.  They took the time to get to know each of us and made us all feel right at home. I always felt very safe both on the boat, and during the dives.  We're not the most experienced divers so this was a major plus for us ... in particular stood out as fantastic dive masters and made each dive they led fun and safe. I hope we can afford to do this again soon.  I'd love to experience every one of the Explorer Ventures routes.  Your operation is exceptional. Just keep doing what you do...It's perfect... " - JoAnne, March 2008

" ... This was my 19th liveaboard trip. I’ve traveled with many different liveaboard operations –so I have some past experience to work from:  First off I’d like to congratulate the Caribbean Explorer II management in having a top notch operation ... The boat itself was clean, well maintained, and well designed for the purpose. The diving was smoothly orchestrated and everything worked as it was supposed to ...  The staff was fantastic ... friendly captain who engaged constantly with the passengers. A skill or style not all liveaboard Captains choose to master. (The chef) was absolutely one of the best liveaboard chefs I’ve ever sailed with. Starting us out with a big steak dinner was the first indication that we were going to be in for a gastronomic extravaganza ... The diving was every bit as good as I hoped for. The gorgeous coral and sponge growth on the plateau and pinnacle of Third Encounter was for me the highlight of the trip. Definitely lived up to its reputation. In general I’d say the crew took us to some pretty nice spots. Stacia was not as dramatic as St. Kitts or Saba. But considering the state of many reefs throughout the Caribbean you’ve still got yourselves an itinerary worth traveling for. We saw some sharks, lots of turtles, some good sized schools of predators and prey, and lots of the pretty caribbean regulars. The photographers in the group had plenty of good stuff to shoot. ..." - Patrick, March 2008

" ... The best I can say is for a non-diver, I'd do it again! ... Although the accomodations are not as luxurious, the crew absolutely made up for the difference. They took such good care of us and seemed geniunely concerned about us. A very welcoming fact given I am a non-diver and spent considerable time on the boat ..." - Deb, February 2008

"... Best crew any of us ever had! TOP NOTCH!! The crew and operation was very good on the Caribbean Explorer II. The food was excellent, the value was good and the trip was great. Much better than (other boat) (2 cruises), food and drinks (alcohol included) much better on Caribbean Explorer II. Boat was really nice ... We really liked the dive deck and dive area layout! The crew left many of us in awe...THEY WERE REALLY GOOD! ... the chef, was incredible! The boat was real nice and gave all of us enough space. The "hot water" actually "is" the perfect temperature! This was a really professionally run operation. As we like to say it, "this is a DO-OVER..." - Dave, January 2008

"... This was my second trip on this vessel, and it still ranks as the best liveaboard I have ever done, both due to the boat/crew and due to the locale (diving, island tours). Very good cabins, and the vessel is well laid out for diving and comfortable surface intervals..." - Kevin, January 2008

"... I have been on 5 liveaboard dive trips this crew was by far the best ever!..." - Linda, January 2008

"... They (the crew) were always working hard to make the vacation more enjoyable. They took excellent care of my very expensive camera equipment. Logging in and out procedure was wonderful, dive crew help entering and exiting the water was great. I will hope for such a wonderful experience on all my future trips. First liveaboard, but the dive operation was run much better on this trip than other dive boats I have been on..." - David, January 2008

"... This was, by far, the best crew I've ever had the pleasure of being with. Everyone was very nice, constantly hustling around the boat, personable and professional... the BEST chef ever ...very effective dive instructor, LOVED the certification class I took with her. The whole crew was very approachable and made our vacation wonderful. This was a perfect trip all the way around, nice boat, crew and guests. The diving was so nice and warm, I can't wait to return. Loved that, when I can get out of the water after a dive, i could say it was one of the best dives of my life. The  non-stop action at the "sting-ray cleaning station" that we observed for about 1/2 hour was definitely one of those moments ..." - Jeanne, January 2008
