The individuals who are part of making our 20 years a success come from a variety of backgrounds but all have one thing in common: to make YOUR time with us one of the best diving experience you have ever had.

Hidemi 'Demi' Yokota
Dive Instructor - 5 years
Demi has been chief Dive Instructor aboard Nimrod Explorer for 5 years and is always a highlight of the trip for our guests.

Jim Merrill
Operations Manager, Explorer Ventures Australia - 15 years
Jim started on Caribbean Explorer I in 1994 as engineer and was also Captain aboard the Caribbean Explorer/Turks & Caicos Explorer until the end of 2003, he then became Operations Manage in Australia.

Sue Bertram
Operations Manager, Explorer Ventures Australia - 15 years
Sue started as a hostess aboard Caribbean Explorer in St. Maarten and became Trip Coordinator where she met Jim. She became Operations Manager in Australia in 2001.

World's first carbon-neutral liveaboard

Explorer Ventures Liveaboard Diving has become the first liveaboard diving fleet to become 100% carbon neutral. The carbon emissions from each of Explorer Ventures' vessels, including the fuel use, parts, supplies, shipping, staff travel, office energy usage and land-based staff commutes are now offset by the purchase of energy credits from NativeEnergy, which in turn funds projects utilizing only renewable energy.
