Scuba diving in the Maldives
Explorer Ventures, in partnership with Emperor Maldives, launched MV Emperor Explorer in 2019. It is the model of lavish liveaboards and at 42 m (138 ft), a dream vessel for avid divers from all over the world. Emperor Explorer’s four decks easily accommodate 13 spacious and well-appointed en-suite staterooms, all of which offer air-conditioning and a mixture of comfortable king, queen, and twin beds.
While onboard Emperor Explorer, enjoy five-star meals and a complimentary glass of wine with dinner in the open-air dining area or air-conditioned saloon. When not diving there are many open areas on this contemporary liveaboard to relax, stargaze, and soak up the sun surrounded by turquoise Maldivian waters. Additional amenities include a sizeable and modern dive deck, and free nitrox for certified divers. This is a liveaboard you’ll want to write home about!

The topmost deck is the sun deck, which offers both shaded and full-sun areas for relaxation with deck chairs and bean bags.
The upper deck includes the al-fresco dining area, the bar, suites 11 & 12 (King beds only), staterooms 13 & 14 (Twin beds only), a small lounge area and the bridge.
The large main deck contains the air-conditioned dining and lounge area, TV viewing area with DVD/CD music system, video library, common restroom, suites 9 & 10 (One King bed and 1 twin bed), galley, camera charging station and a large camera table. There are two sets of stairs accessing the swim platform where two in-water ladders hang for easy access to and from the water for a refreshing swim when the vessel is at anchor.
