Both Blue Manta Explorer and White Manta Explorer offer a few itineraries to Triton Bay (Papua Barat) and crossing trips combining Misool, FakFak and Triton Bay. This remote and well preserved area is acclaimed by many underwater photographers for its pristine reefs and rare critters.

Raja Ampat Sample Itineraries

*Please note that these itineraries are examples only and will change depending on weather and logistics at the Captain’s discretion.

Raja Ampat & Misool – 8 days/7 nights itinerary

Diving days: 7 days of diving (22 dives). Our Raja Ampat & Misool itineraries are available with 7, 8, 9 and 10 nights. We also have some 6-nights trips, to dive the Central Raja Ampat OR Misool. Choose your preferred schedule and enjoy spectacular diving in the world’s most biodiverse diving destination.

  • Day 1. (0-1 dives) 1pm Trip Departure day. Our staff will meet you upon your arrival to Sorong Airport or local hotel and transfer you to the vessel. Arrivals before midday are best so we can make check dive at Red Light District (Lampu Merah) just outside Sorong before we get underway by 3pm for overnight sail.
  • Day 2. (4 dives) Misool; Wayil area with its beautiful lagoon for boat tour and super dives.
  • Day 3. (3 dives) Misool; Fiabacet & Boo area. Sail to overnight to Central & North Raja Ampat.
  • Day 4. (4 dives) Pianemu area; including famous Melissa’s Garden and stunning viewpoint hike.
  • Day 5. (4 dives) Manta ridge & Dampier Strait
  • Day 6. (4 dives) Kri area; including Big Fish, Cape Kri, Sardine Run, & excellent night dive.
  • Day 7. (2 dives) Misokon island; including Blue Magic & Yellow Fever. Sail back to Usahamina pier, Sorong where you spend last night on board. Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, have lunch, rest & relaxation, and ifneed be, an early flight on Trip Departure day.
  • Day 8. (0 dives) 5am-10pm. Check out after light breakfast & farewells, we transfer to local hotel or airport. Departure from Sorong to Manado/ Makassar/ Jakarta/ Denpasar.

Triton Bay – 8 days/7 nights itinerary

Diving days: 6 days of diving (20 dives)

  • Day 1. (0 dives) 1pm trip departure day.  Our staff will meet you upon your arrival to Kaimana Airport or local hotel and transfer you to the awaiting vessel at Port of Kaimana.  Note: There is no diving on trip departure day.  If all arrive early, then a chance to snorkel with whale sharks.  Sail direct to Triton Bay.
  • Day 2-4. (4 dives x3 days) Triton Bay area; Little Komodo, Macro Wall, 3 Rocks, Larry’s Heaven, Faukate Manta, Walker’s reef, night dives with ‘walking’ shark.
  • Day 5-6. (3-4 dives x2 days) Exploration down the South-East coastline.  Sail back to Triton Bay.
  • Day 7. (0-2 dives)More dives around Triton Bay area or chance to snorkel with whale sharks where there are fishing platforms called Bagans, off a small village, Namatota Island.  Sail to Kaimana, West Papua.  Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, have lunch, and rest & relaxation.
  • Day 8. (0 dives) 5am-10pm. Check out after light breakfast & farewells, and transfer to airport.  Departure from Port of Kaimana to local hotel or transfer to Kamana Airport (transfer 30-45 mins). 
  • Note: Land/ snorkeling excursions may be substituted for dives.
  • Note: Chances to snorkel with whale sharks where there are fishing platforms called Bagans, off a small village, Namatota Island.

Triton Bay, FakFak & Misool – 11 days/10 nights itinerary

Diving days: 9 days of diving (28 dives)

  • Day 1. (0 dives) 1pm trip departure day.  Our staff will meet you upon your arrival to Kaimana Airport or local hotel and transfer you to the awaiting vessel at Port of Kaimana.  Note: There is no diving on trip departure day.  If all arrive early, then a chance to snorkel with whale sharks. 
  • Day 2-4. (4 dives x3 days) Triton Bay area; Little Komodo, Macro Wall, 3 Rocks, Larry’s Heaven, Faukate Manta, Walker’s reef, night dives with ‘walking’ shark.  Plus exploration down the South-East coastline.
  • Day 5. (0-2 dives) More dives around Triton Bay area or chance to snorkel with whale sharks if not done at beginning of trip.  Sail to Fak Fak.
  • Day 6. (3 dives) Fakfak; Atoll dives & Middle reef. Swimming under Kiti-Kiti waterfall. Sail to Pisang Island.
  • Day 7. (3 dives) Pulau Pisang: The Dome, T-Bone Reef, Black Cave, & night dive. Sail to Misool.
  • Day 8-9. (4 dives x2 days) Sothern Raja Ampat, Misool: Fiabacet & Boo area, Boo Windows & Magic Mountain.
  • Day 10. (2 dives) Misool: Chance to revisit or explore new sights. Sail back to Usahamina pier, Sorong where you spend last night on board.  Plenty of time to wash & dry equipment, have lunch, rest & relaxation, and if need be, an early flight on trip departure day.
  • Day 11.  (0 dives) 5am-10pm. Check out after light breakfast, farewells, and transfer to local hotel or airport.  Departure from Sorong to Manado/ Makassar/ Jakarta/ Denpasar.
  • Note: Land/ snorkeling excursions may be substituted for dives.
  • Note: Day 1 or Day 5 will have a chance to snorkel with whale sharks where there are fishing platforms called Bagans, off a small village, Namatota Island.
  • Note: This crossing trip is available with 10, 11 or 13 nights, and can be operated from Kaimana to Sorong, or vice versa.
